Google Cloud’s chief revenue officer Matt Renner announced the news on Tuesday in a memo to staff.Gallot joined Google last April to spearhead a new division focused on helping customers and businesses adopt the company’s cloud products, including its AI offerings. The group absorbed several other teams inside Cloud at a critical time for Google, which has been aggressively courting businesses with its AI products.Gallot’s departure this week confused some staff inside Google Cloud who were surprised to see her leave after less than a year at the company. A spokesperson confirmed Gallot was leaving the company, but did not share more on the reasons for her departure. Gallot could not immediately be reached for comment.
