Kurdish forces lose ground to Turkey backed rebels

Turkey’s long-standing opposition to Kurdish autonomy remains a pivotal challenge. It views the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the primary Kurdish militia, as an extension of Kurdish insurgents within its own borders.
