Spotify Reveals Price Hikes for Premium Subscribers

Spotify is raising its prices for premium subscribers in the U.S., as well as Estonia and Latvia. The move comes amid Spotify’s big push into video, with the platform partnering with Netflix to stream select podcasts on the platform, and making it easier for independent podcast networks to monetize video on the platform, in an effort to bring more creators on the platform. In that vein, Spotify has also broadened eligibility for its Spotify Partner Program, which provides payouts based on video engagement on Spotify Premium.As of Spotify’s latest earnings, in Q3, the platform had 281 million paying subscribers worldwide.
