Uber is being sued in the US over allegations of assault by drivers on the ride-hailing platform. The lawsuit alleges that as early as 2014 Uber became aware that its drivers were sexually assaulting and raping female passengers. But the filing claims that the company prioritised “growth over customer safety”. The filing includes allegations women passengers “were kidnapped, sexually assaulted, sexually battered, raped, falsely imprisoned, stalked, harassed, or otherwise attacked by Uber drivers”. It is not only the United states that sexual assault cases against uber have been reported. How do we enforce discipline against uber drivers ?
