Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced on Wednesday that his government plans to hold the presidential and parliamentary elections on May 14, as the country is still recovering from two devastating earthquakes that struck a large swath of its southern region in early February. The Turkish president had earlier said that the elections were to be held on May 14 in order to avoid the seasonal migrations of voters and the university exams in early summer. Should the elections be postponed to allow for national recovery ?
