Antibiotics have been one of the most revolutionary discoveries the human species ever made and we’ve been able to triumph over countless diseases and infections. However, this might not be the case for much longer. The bacteria that were once obliterated by our current classes of antibiotics have gotten smarter, they adapted, and they’ve turned into superbugs that threaten to drag the world back to the days before we had antibiotics. Creating new classes of antibiotics is difficult. How do we deal with antibiotics resistance ?
