The United States Department of Defense, on Friday, released a second batch of classified records related to unidentified flying objects, officially referred to by the US government as unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs), as part of a transparency initiative ordered by US President Donald Trump. The latest disclosure includes 51 videos, multiple documents and audio recordings, taking the total number of publicly released UAP-related files to more than 200. Officials said the material spans nearly eight decades and includes military footage, historical investigative reports and first-hand accounts from intelligence and defence personnel.Many of the newly released clips feature grainy infrared footage recorded by US military systems between 2018 and 2023.
