Artificial intelligence (AI) has become a boardroom priority across enterprises globally, but many organizations are struggling to move beyond pilots and isolated deployments because the underlying technology infrastructure is not ready to support AI at scale. The study that is based on a survey of 501 senior executives across North America, Europe, and Asia from organizations with annual revenues exceeding $500 million, suggests that enterprise AI adoption is increasingly constrained by foundational technology gaps rather than lack of interest or investment. Around 77% of enterprise leaders view AI as board-level priority, however, 65% continue to operate on legacy or developing infrastructure that was not designed for the data-intensive and integration-heavy requirements of enterprise AI, according to Building Durable AI Advantage. Do you think that legacy systems are more practical ?
