Apple recently introduced the Siri AI tool at the World Wide Developer Conference 2026, along with new Apple Intelligence features. However, the Cupertino giant has decided not to bring the Siri AI tool in the European Union after it had unsuccessfully requested to be exempted from interoperability obligations for the tool. A spokesperson from the EU Commission said to Reuters, ‘The decision not to roll out Siri AI in the EU is Apple’s and Apple’s only.This decision of Apple is going to affect all the products like iPads, iPhones, and Macs in the European region. All the Siri features will be released for the rest of the world at a common timeframe, except in the EU. In order to launch Siri AI in Europe, Apple will be supposed to modify how Siri interacts with other applications, third-party services, and users ‘ data of the users. This could also push developers and consumers in the EU region to go for slower adoption of both new Apple Intelligence features and the Siri AI tool. Is Apple just rebellious ?
