Mark Zuckerberg says AI could create more jobs

Just days after Meta issued layoff notices to around 8,000 employees, CEO Mark Zuckerberg has argued that concerns over artificial intelligence replacing large numbers of workers may be exaggerated. Instead of viewing AI as a force that will inevitably eliminate jobs, Zuckerberg believes the technology could ultimately create more employment opportunities if businesses use it to enhance human capabilities rather than replace them. The layoffs represent roughly 10 per cent of Meta’s workforce. Employees received notifications in three phases at 4 AM local time across Asia, Europe and the Americas on May 20. Workers in the United States are being offered 16 weeks of severance pay, an additional two weeks for every year of service, and up to 18 months of COBRA health coverage. What is your take on Ai effect on Jobs ?
