OpenAI launched a finance-focused version of ChatGPT for financial institutions, bringing financial datasets, modelling tools and enterprise security features into one platform.Called ChatGPT for Financial Services, the product is initially aimed at investment banking and equity research teams. OpenAI said its work with financial institutions such as Morgan Stanley and Evercore helped it identify the key challenges faced by financial professionals. The company said feedback from these institutions will help guide future product updates and expansion into other areas of financial services.A major feature of the platform is built-in access to financial datasets from Daloopa, PitchBook, LSEG News and Crunchbase. These datasets include earnings transcripts, financial statements, company fundamentals, information on private companies and other financial data.
