After researchers from Anthropic and OpenAI, a researcher from Google DeepMind has raised warnings that the technology under development could “kill all humans”. He further mentioned that time might be running out to avoid such an outcome.The DeepMind researcher, Bilal Chughtai, co-authored a research paper, worked as a research engineer and left the company back in July, as per his LinkedIn profile. Chughtai also said that navigating AI safely was possible, but it would require coordination “to avoid this manic race between AI companies”.In the aftermath of the warnings being raised by AI researchers, President Trump dismissed the warnings and the need for pacing AI development in his post on Truth Social.
