Replacing fossil fuels with renewable electricity, either directly or indirectly, is the best way to decarbonise industry, transport and the heating and cooling of buildings . However, Aviation industry is one of the holdouts as Hydrocarbon aviation fuels are likely to be around for a while since the renewable energy batteries are too heavy to be used in the aviation industry.
