After the Queen’s passing, Australia stated the King’s image might not automatically replace her image. The Reserve Bank of Australia now released that, indeed, the country will pay tribute to the “culture of history of Indigenous Australians” on the banknotes. The central bank of Australia has released the concept for their newly designed $5 banknotes. Spoiler: King Charles III’s likeness will not appear. It remains to be seen if and where the King’s image will be used to replace that of his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, especially in those Commonwealth realms outside of the UK.
