China Accuses USA of Cyber attack during Winter games

China has accused the United States National Security Agency (NSA) of launching advanced cyberattacks during the Asian Winter Games held in Harbin, northeastern China, in February 2025. Chinese police say the attacks targeted vital industries and systems and have placed three alleged NSA agents on a wanted list. China claims that cyberattacks use advanced tools, including artificial intelligence, to make intrusions more difficult to detect. It also claims the NSA used pre-installed backdoors in Microsoft Windows systems (MSFT) to gain access to computers. The attackers allegedly used international IP addresses and rented servers in Europe and Asia to hide their identity. The U.S. Embassy in China has not yet responded to the accusations. This incident adds to the growing tensions between the world’s two largest economies. In recent years, the U.S. and China have accused each other of hacking and espionage. With no signs of resolution and more mutual blame, cybersecurity has become a key battleground in their ongoing rivalry. What is your take on this hybrid wars that the US and other big countries are using for influence ?
