Nine former FBI employees who were fired after working on the investigation into US President Donald Trump’s handling of classified documents have sued the Trump administration, alleging they were dismissed as an act of ‘political retribution.’ The lawsuit, filed on Thursday in the US District Court for the District of Columbia, seeks the reinstatement of the former agents, intelligence analysts and operations specialists.The plaintiffs allege that their dismissals were unlawful and that they were targeted because of their involvement in the investigation led by former special counsel Jack Smith.
