Fortnite was removed from the iPhone store in 2020, after Epic introduced its own payment methods to the app. That is in contravention of Apple’s App Store rules, and thus led to the app being removed. In the years since, the app has stayed off the store and not been available on the iPhone. But the two companies have been locked in a legal battle that has led to landmark court cases and changes in regulations. Fortnite has returned to the iPhone – after a five year disappearance.
