Human rights are to be protected by those in power as enshrined in the united nations charter and the constitutions of the various nations. Sometimes the government can be so careless about its own citizens and grossly violate those rights . Human rights activities have played a major role in keeping the governments in check on the rights of humanity. However, the groups have been politicized in the recent years which to some extent makes them loose their aim and meaning and because of this , some governments have been unable to perform. Who should keep those groups in Check, the governments ?
