iPhone 15 scammers

The launch of the iPhone 15 series last month was soon overshadowed by users reporting heating issues, particularly with the Pro models. Opportunistic scammers were quick to exploit these issues, promising a solution to the problem while posing as official staff from carriers. The fraudsters contact unsuspecting iPhone 15 owners under the disguise of Verizon employees, claiming to conduct a remote diagnostic test to detect overheating. Upon alleged detection of the defect, they convince the owners to dispatch their phones for an immediate recall to a specified address, citing potential dangers.
