Two powerful tools to target security vulnerabilities in iPhones have leaked onto the internet, putting models running older Apple software at risk. Cybersecurity researchers have traced attacks using the malware to Russian spies and Chinese cybercriminals. DarkSword and Coruna are the names of the tools that were leaked, with an updated version of DarkSword posted to GitHub as recently as earlier this week.These tools primarily function through “watering hole” attacks.
