Learning from Islam

Islam is one of the most widely followed religions, having nearly a quarter of Earth’s inhabitants as followers, and is the world’s fastest growing faith. Islamic world had historically been a bridge of knowledge between the Ancient World and the European Renaissance that eventually gave rise to modern science and the modern world. This process began under the Umayyad Caliphate of 7-8th Century and flourished under the Abbasid Caliphate until the sacking of Baghdad in 1258 by the Mongols. During these Caliphates knowledge was absorbed from the Byzantine and Persian empires and from the borders with China, India and Europe during this “Golden Age of Islam”. What can you learn from it?
