The constitution of any country provides for a maximum number of terms or years an elected leader can stay in power but when power gets into someone’s head they can do anything to either extend their term limit or rule over a longer period. The sign for dictatorship is vividly witnessed when a leader whose term limit has lapsed but does not want to leave office and chooses to amend the constitution to either create more state positions or extend the term limits for any sitting president. What is there in statehouse that makes leaders not be willing to leave?
