Mark Cuban could built Tiktok Alternative

Ever since outgoing President Joe Biden signed an order demanding that TikTok sell its platform to the U.S. or risk a nationwide ban, there’s been much anticipation over what could fill the void if the app does indeed exit the country. Many people would like to buy the original app from ByteDance, its Chinese parent company. ByteDance has repeatedly said it’s not for sale. Now, Cuban has proposed an alternative version of the video-sharing app that could be much better for everybody in the long run. If TikTok bites the dust (as it is expected to do on Sunday), billionaire Mark Cuban says he’d be open to financing an alternative video-sharing platform that is built off the protocol developed by microblogging site Bluesky. While the idea of having a TikTok-esque site that functions more or less like Bluesky is a cool one, it’s not clear that TikTok’s U.S. app will actually die. Will Tiktok totaaly die in US ?
