Dzhankoi is a hub for Russian roads and railways about 50 miles south of the Ukrainian mainland. It has been a frequent target of long-range strikes by the Ukrainian military, part of a broader campaign to isolate Russian troops fighting in southern Ukraine and undermine Russian logistics. At least 14 people were killed and scores more injured when three Russian missiles struck a busy downtown district of Chernihiv, north of Kyiv. The extent of the damage was not immediately clear but unverified videos posted on social media showed a series of explosions and raging fires at the base. Is it time for Ukraine to admit it is losing ?
