Putin said Russia and Africa are united in the fight against terrorism, climate change and the imposition of unilateral sanctions by self-seeking nations. President Yoweri Museveni has said that fighting an unjustified war is a waste of time and that even if the perpetrator comes out victorious, the gains will likely be temporary. Museveni said dialogue should instead be explored to solve existing issues as opposed to turning to violence as the only solution for human disagreements. Museveni castigated forces that overthrow legitimate and democratically elected governments in Africa, with the recent one taking place in Niger, an act he said is shameful in the modern era.
