Tech mogul Elon Musk’s planned visit to the Pentagon was turned upside down after a report indicated that he was going to be briefed on possible war plans targeting China.Rather than having a meeting with high-level military officials, Musk met with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and a few officials on Friday.According to early plans, Musk was set to be part of an unclassified meeting with Admiral Sam Paparo, the head of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, and other military commanders. The reported information about a possible briefing on U.S. military approaches related to China made the organizers reevaluate the composition of the meeting.Musk was at the Pentagon at about 9 a.m. and stayed inside Hegseth’s office throughout his stay. He exited the grounds at 10:21 a.m., which is significantly during roughly the same period when the Joint Chiefs’ meeting formally started.
