There are areas of cities in Europe that have such a high Muslim population that they are controlled by sharia law, or are ravaged by criminal “Muslim gangs” that make them too dangerous for either none Muslims, or sometimes even police, to enter. Despite being clearly unfounded and ridiculous, the trope of Muslim “no-go” areas in certain major cities around Western Europe is a resilient one, of which studies in the UK have shown that 14% of non-Muslims believe.The far-right have generated anti-Muslim lies and conspiracies for decades, but few keep returning as often as the myth of their being Muslim no-go zones in many European cities.
