Corporate America, including tech companies, has been rolling back Diversity, Equity and inclusion initiatives. Earlier this month, Google ended its hiring targets tied to diversity. The company also announced a review of its DEI programs. In January, Meta dissolved its DEI team, while Target scaled back multiple diversity-focused initiatives. The shift away from DEI efforts began before President Donald Trump’s reelection, with companies like Walmart, Ford, and Lowe’s scaling back similar programs last year.
