In an internal email, Oracle informed employees about organisational changes, stating that efforts to streamline operations had led to certain roles becoming redundant. The email also instructed employees to urgently provide a personal email address to receive separation-related documents and warned that access to company systems would be revoked shortly. This latest announcement came a week after Meta started laying off hundreds of employees. Previously, Amazon had announced it would eliminate about 16,000 corporate roles. This was after it had cut 14,000 employees.The company has offered a severance package that includes 15 days’ salary for each completed year of service, along with one month’s unpaid wages up to the termination date, leave encashment, gratuity (where applicable), and one month’s notice pay.
