The term ‘patriarchy’ is used by various sociological theories to describe a system of social relationships, values, norms and behaviour patterns that are predominantly shaped by men and which encourage a privileged position for men. Patriarchal society is the oldest in all societies and in most the cultures, men do not understand what women face in their daily lives like menstrual cycles etc. Things have really changed nowadays.
