In Kenya, most of what we consume from the buildings, furniture , tools etc is being made by the Jua kalis who never went to schools except for the products which need a complicated technology that the country does not have. However, the industry has been there for long without any recognition but the good news is that the government of Kenya is in the process of certification and recognition of prior learning. Will education start loosing its meaning after this recognition ?
