Traditionally the marriage was known to be between two people who are not of the same sex even the Holy Books i.e. the Quran, the Bible etc. recognizes that. To Preserve our religious believes, the bible and other holy books need to be respected and the leaders to lead by examples. Pope Francis who heads all the Catholic churches and other denominations has no problem with same sex marriages and people who follow him more and believes in him more than their spirituality may also follow soon which is likely to erode Christianity slowly.
