Agentic AI systems, by design, are single-minded in purpose. The goal is to autonomously pursue goals on behalf of whoever is deploying them. The result has been eye-popping, fundamentally changing the way traffic flows through websites, apps and APIs. Tools like OpenAI’s Operator are a perfect example. Unlike early AI tools that were designed to be responsive, this new generation of tools doesn’t just respond—they act. They buy products, initiate support requests and complete transactions.Traffic is more nuanced today. Bots have been gentrified; they’re now legitimate actors in digital ecosystems, carrying out tasks like buying concert tickets, helping users navigate websites or filling up shopping carts. These are exactly the kinds of actions that websites want bots to perform because they’re aligned with positive business outcomes like increased revenue and higher conversion rates. If security tools continue to treat all nonhuman activity as malicious, there’s a clear problem. What is your advice for new bot framework ?
