A total fire ban was in place across greater Sydney on Monday with temperatures soaring above 35C in the city’s west. The Bureau of Meteorology said Sydney faced extreme fire danger due to hot, dry conditions and the chance of thunderstorms, with little rainfall. On Monday morning, the bureau said temperatures would be “well above average” on Monday, with areas including Mount Druitt predicted to hit 37C. By Monday evening, the bureau confirmed Parramatta reached a high of 34.5C and Olympic Park in Homebush recorded a top of 35.2C. Do you think that climate change is the real cause of wild fires ?
