US president Donald Trump unveiled plans to launch a new $5 million “Gold Card” visa that would grant affluent investors a direct route to US citizenship. The new visa, intended to supersede the 35-year-old EB-5 investor visa, will bring in high-net-worth individuals who can spur the US economy with heavy investments.
