Uber pivoted during the pandemic to change its model into a food delivery one to help cushion the blow to the decline in ride-hailing. The travel pilot, reports Washington Post, will significantly bolster Uber’s transportation offerings. Ride-hailing platform Uber is adding trains, buses, planes and car rentals to its UK app this year in the hope of becoming a “super app”. While Uber will not provide these travel services itself, it will allow users to book them through its app following software integrations with platforms that sell tickets.
