Ukraine’s battlefield advantage may not lie in the drones buzzing over the front lines, but in the software quietly directing them. Called Delta, the system pulls together live drone feeds, satellite images, radio intercepts and other battlefield intelligence into a single digital network. The speed of the system was visible at an underground Ukrainian command post on the eastern front. A Russian soldier was spotted running along a tree line through a live drone feed. An officer entered his coordinates into Delta, which immediately placed the target on a digital map visible to nearby Ukrainian units. The entire process spotting, identifying, sharing and striking — was tied together by Delta.
